1. Promoter Details

This competition is run and administered by 7 Shades of Purple (Pty) Ltd, a company registered under the laws of the Republic of South Africa, with its principal place of business at:
15 Crispa Road,
Ottawa South,
Durban KwaZulu Natal,
South Africa (“the Promoter”).

2. Competition Overview
The “Win a Trip to Zanzibar” Competition offers entrants a chance to win an all-expenses-paid holiday to Zanzibar with the author of 7 Shades of Purple. Participation in this competition is governed by these terms and conditions (“Terms”).
3. Eligibility
  • The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years and older at the time of entry.
  • Entrants must be legal residents of any country, provided participation in such competitions is lawful in their country of residence. The Entrants must be a natural person not a Juristic entity;
  • Employees of the Promoter are not eligible to participate.
  • Void where prohibited by local laws.
4. Entry Requirements

To enter:

  1. Download the Seven Shades of Purple app, sign up, and engage with the Sexometer tool to activate your entry.
  2. Make sure your partner downloads the app and signs up too—they must be registered to join you if selected as a winner.
  3. Share the app with three friends. If any of them sign up, they’ll also stand a chance to join you on the trip.


To increase your chances and be eligible to bring a friend or partner:

  1. Follow @7shadesofpurple on Instagram, TikTok, and/or Facebook.
  2. Tag three (3) friends on the official competition post (carousel).
  3. Use the hashtag #7sopwhatsyourchilli in your comment.


Each valid tag and share increases your chances of winning. Multiple entries are allowed, provided all criteria above are met for each submission.

5. Competition Dates
  • Opening Date: 10 July 2025 at 00:00 SAST
  • Closing Date: 31 August 2025 at 23:59 SAST
  • Winner Announcement: September 2025 via the Promoter’s official social media channels and/or direct message.
  • Trip Dates: October 2025
6. Prize Details
  • The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Zanzibar, including:
    • Round-trip economy airfare.
    • Accommodation for 5 nights.
    • Daily meals and scheduled activities.
    • Meet-and-greet and curated experiences with the author of 7 Shades of Purple.
  • If eligible, the winner may bring one (1) guest (partner or friend).
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
7. Winner Selection
  • Winners will be selected via a verified third-party draw system.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify any entry deemed fraudulent or non-compliant.
  • Winners must respond to notification within 7 days. If no response is received, an alternate winner may be selected.
8. Travel Terms
  • Winners are responsible for ensuring they meet passport, visa, vaccination, and travel insurance requirements for travel to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
  • Winners must ensure they are in possession of medical insurance and medical certificate reflecting a clean bill of health or ensuring that they are able to travel with any comorbidities from a registered medical practitioner.
  • Travel must occur on dates specified by the Promoter. Changes are not permitted.
  • The Promoter is not responsible for any travel delays, costs, or incidents beyond its control. The promoter shall not be held responsible for incorrect information supplied and not being contacted by the promoter regarding such error;
9. Data Protection & Privacy
  • By entering, you consent to the Promoter collecting, storing, and processing your personal information for competition and promotional purposes, in compliance with:
    • South Africa’s POPIA, EU’s GDPR, UK GDPR, U.S. Privacy Laws, Any International Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and relevant local data protection laws.
  • Your data will not be sold or used for unrelated purposes.
10. Publicity
  • Winners agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities, including photography, social media content, and interviews, without additional compensation.
  • The Promoter may use the winner’s name, likeness, and competition entry for marketing purposes in all media worldwide.
11. Disqualification and Fraud
  • The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be:
    • Using false information.
    • Tampering with entry mechanisms.
    • Violating any of these Terms or applicable laws.
    • Engaging in spam tagging or bot use.
12. Limitation of Liability
  1. The Promoter shall not be held responsible for:
    • Network failures or app malfunctions.
    • Entrant and/or winner(s) hereby indemnifies the Promoter against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages or loss of any kind regardless of how this was caused, and whether it arose under the law of contract or delict or otherwise, because of the Entrant/winners entrance into the Competition.
    • We and our affiliates will not be responsible, and disclaim all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage (whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential) of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by your participation in the competition or the acceptance and/or use by you, or your partner (if applicable), of any prize, or by any action taken by us or any of our affiliates in accordance with the terms and conditions
13. Governing Law
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
  • Any disputes arising in connection with this competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts, unless otherwise mandated by local consumer laws.
